We spent a couple weeks here, and enjoyed the park. The lake offers swimming, and beautiful evening sunsets. The friendly campground host does a great job. The restrooms and campsites are kept clean, and grouped trash cans emptied daily. The only problem was the mosquitoes. On some evenings they were so bad you could not go outside, yet on others no problem. One brave tent camper surrounded his tent with torches, but another camper left because the mosquitoes were so bad.
This is a fairly basic campground just off the freeway, but not as noisy as one would think. It's gravel, with small trees at each site. Even on labor day weekend the park only had a few campers, so you don't feel crowded. There are no sewer hookups, but a dump station is available for $5. TV reception was great off the antenna, with quite a few channels available.
I've camped at a number of city parks, and this is one of the nicer ones. While the entrance to Marvel City Park is on main street, the campground is a good distance from the highway so it's quiet and secluded. The park is very clean and well maintained. It's well worth the $5 camping fee. For $1.50 you can use the city swimming pool complex (pool, slides and showers- open during the summer) located in the adjoining city park, within walking distance of the campground. Stay limit is now 7 days.
This is my favorite RV park on the current trip. I spent two nights, but would enjoy going back for a longer stay. Owners were very friendly and welcome you in their golf cart to help you select a spot (or use self-pay station after hours) It's quiet, and there is a lot to do. It would be a great place to take the family. The campground has a private lake with a swimming beach, fishing, rafting etc. There is a swimming pool, trails, basketball courts, baseball field etc. There was free entertainment in the clubhouse the weekend I was there. The rest room and laundry room (3-washers and dryers) was clean, and showers offered plenty of hot water.
This is a small RV park (about the size of a backyard) at 917 31st Ave in Greeley. There is no sign, but it's down a driveway behind an auto repair shop and apartment at this address. Water pressure is quite low, so had to hand fill the water tanks and use the internal pump. Of all the campgrounds I have stayed at this had the filthiest rest room (there is one coed rest room- when checking in was told to knock before using restroom) Owner only comes down on weekends, but you can mail a check or pay on the weekend. Although absentee management you are given a business card in case of problems or questions, and he is quick to return calls. I learned to leave my screen door shut, otherwise one of the many friendly cats in the RV park will invite itself in your RV!
This is a well kept park with roomy sites, and mature shade trees. The staff is friendly and helpful. When I checked out I found I was missing one of the pins in my hitch system, and checked to see if they had one in the park store. They didn't have what I needed, but the person on duty made me a temporary one so I could get on the road. The clubhouse is nice, and features a TV lounge and small library. You can use one of several individual full rest rooms with its own shower etc- much nicer than many parks with less privacy. The park has a swimming pool and basketball court. Only negative, the Wi-Fi is sometimes slow. The propane was less expensive than other places in town that I was aware of.
